Hello!

I’m Hazal Bannach, an illustrator and visual artist living on the Aegean coast of Turkey. My relationship with art began when I was 3, helping my sister create a weekly magazine. I had a little corner called “The Artist Kid,” she filled the rest with short stories, and we used my father’s office to make copies before knocking on neighbors’ doors to sell them. Ever since, I’ve never stopped creating, and dreaming of reaching more people with my work.

Growing up in the northern Aegean region shaped my creativity. Mediterranean colors, ancient stones, and old myths have always felt like home, and they continue to guide my palette and themes.

Today, I live by the Aegean coast of Turkey, keeping a visual journal by photographing daily life and reimagining it through my lines, textures, and colors. I’m most comfortable when I’m drawing organic, traditionally inspired illustrations, working with pencil and charcoal textures, warm Mediterranean colors, and a balance of clean lines and negative space.

I hope you enjoy my art as much as I love creating it.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
